About Mrs. Girnis

 

I have been teaching in the Colonial School District for 13 years. I was at Colwyck Elementary for 6 years, where I taught 4th and 5th grade. I have been at Castle Hills for 6 yrs. teaching 3rd and 4th grade. I was also the district Technology Cadre during the 04-05 school year .

View Larger Map 		 I moved to Long Island when I was 10. I attended Old Country Rd. Elementary, and Hicksville Jr. and Sr. High. (Yep,the same school Billy Joel went to.)

I attended SUNY Farmingdale, Adelphi University in New York, and Wilmington University.

 

 

 I am married to my husband Phil. We have 2 cats, Slinki (6) and Buzzy (6).
In my spare tme I like to read. My favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Cornelia Funke, and Greg Bear.
I enjoy baseball. My favorite teams are The Blue Rocks and The N.Y.Mets
