Our school is very technology oriented. Mr. Erskine strongly encourages all of the teachers to use technology in every possible aspect of the curriculum. Unfortunately, most of my students do not have access to a computer at home. But for the few who do, I would like to be able to communicate to them via a website and let the parents know exactly what their child is learning in our classroom. I also think it would be nice for all parents of George Read to be able to view what our classroom is about and hopefully instill in their children an interest in our program so that they don't just view our students as "different". My hope is that if they have a complete understanding of our program they would be more willing to volunteer as a peer buddy to one of our students.
Welcome to our class at George Read Middle School in the Colonial School District. This is going to be a very exciting school year. We have a lot of fun activities planned throughout the year.
