Gunning Bedford Middle School Library

Library procedures:
GENERAL
The library hours are 7:30 - 2:10 every day. If the library is closed because of special circumstances, an announcement will be made. You may come to the library anytime it is open provided that you have a hall pass from your teacher. Students may not use the library when it is closed. Students who come to the library will remain the entire period unless their hall passes specifically state that they are to return to class. These students must return to class before the last ten minutes of the period.
Entire classes may be escorted to the library at a teacher's discretion. These classes must be scheduled in advance with the librarian. Sections of the library may be reserved upon request. Appropriate supervision by the teacher is expected.
Teachers who wish to use the library for special programs must schedule such events with the librarian. Food and drink will not be permitted in the library unless arrangements have been made with the custodial staff for clean up and rearrangement of the library furniture.
Lavatory passes will be given for emergencies only. It is better to use the lavatory before coming to the library. The school three minute passing rule applies.
Hall passes to other areas in the building (office, guidance counselor, etc.) will not be issued. It is assumed that your teacher sent you here for activities involving the library, not to visit other areas of the building.
