Activites in our classroom continue to be challenging and rewarding. Every day we learn lots of new things.
The 6th grade Social Studies class studied Acinet Civilizations. We discovered many interesting facts about the people who lived so long ago in the Middle East.
We made our own Pyramids and included the furnishings that the Pharaohs might need for the afterlife. In class we learned about hieroglyphics and the writings that were made on papyrus.
We also discovered that the Egyptian made amulets with good luck symbols on them.

The 7th grade Social Studies class in now studying South America. They have hung replicas of the flags of all the countries of that continent in the hallway leading to their class room.

The seventh grade also made Power Point presentation on the countries of South America. Below are links to a few of the show. We hope you will find them informative and enjoyable.
The 7th grade Science class the students have been studying the diversity of life. One section of the unit dealt with seeds.We started these radishes and rye grass plants in petri dishes. Once the root system was established, the students transplanted them to containers of soil and are monitoring their growth.
