There is an old Chinese Proverb that states, "I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand." I see my job as an educator as one who can give students the opportunity to do many things.

I am a Teacher of Physical Education at William Penn High School. My career goal is to create a learning environment where students will make physical education a lifelong pursuit. With the use of a newly purchased fitness program, Colonial School District has allowed me to combine technology with physical education. The Polar Heart Rate Monitors give students the ability to exercise safely within their target heart rates. This takes the guesswork out of exercising, and allows students to learn more about their fitness needs.

I have just completed my Master's of Instruction with an emphasis in Computer Technology. The coursework for this program has allowed me to see how technology can be implemented into the curriculum to improve student achievement. Technology is advancing at such a fast pace that those teachers and students who can learn the latest advancements will be able to move into the future successfully.
