CONDUCT

  • No profanity
  • No temper tantrums
  • No slamming / throwing golf clubs, bags, or balls
  • Do not abuse the golf course, practice areas, parking lots, or indoor facilities

Violation of the above rules will be handled on an individual basis. If the act in question affects the play of others, the players in question will disqualify themselves. At practice the player will be assessed points and may incur a suspension.

 

PROPER GOLF ATTIRE & BEHAVIOR REQUIRED

  • Collard shirts, tucked in
  • If shorts are worn, they must be Bermuda length (No shorter than three inches from the knee). Players and fans!
  • No jeans or cut-offs
  • Hats worn, must be worn as designed
  • No cargo pants
  • No cell phones, beepers, headphones, ipods, or radios on the competition course or practice area
  • No alcohol, drugs, or tobacco

Coaches, administration, and golf course personal reserve the right to ask a player to leave the course based on inappropriate attire, and players may be suspended for behavior infractions.

 

CLUB STORAGE

  • The equipment room at WP in the Unit II Locker Room can be used to store clubs. It is the players responsibility to geth the clubs to and from school.

 

RAINY DAYS

  • We will practice in the Unit II Gym on rainy days. We have a red/black schedule and will practice on those assigned days.
  • We have the gym on black days only - please listen to the afternoon announcements.
  • If you are unsure about the practice schedule: FIND OUT BEFORE YOU LEAVE SCHOOL FROM ONE OF THE COACHES.

 

EXTRA HELP

  • You are encouraged to receive extra academic help when needed.
  • If you go for extra help you will need to have a parent bring you to our practice site.
  • You may not receive a ride to and from practice from anyone other than your parent or guardian or transportation provided by the school district.
  • I must receive any transportation waivers prior to the event and preferably one day in advacne.

 

VARSITY LETTER RECIPIENTS

  • Attend all scheduled practices with no unexcused absences.
  • Play in at least 5 varsity matches.
  • Retain and participate as the first alternate in 6 out 8 of the home matches, or 10 total matches.

 

DISCIPLINE POLICY

Players will be assessed points for the following infractions:

  • Excused absences - 2 points (may not play in the next match)
  • Unexcused absences - 5 points (will not play in the next match)
  • Excused late - 1 point
  • Unexcused late - 3 points
  • Leave practice early excused - 1 point
  • Leave practice early unexcused - 3 points
  • Late with forms - 3 points
  • Not prepared for practice or a match - 3 points
  • Unsportsmanslike conduct - see first page and may call for disqualification or automatic suspension - 8 points
  • Disqualification / suspension for infraction - automatic 10 points
  • ISS - 10 points
  • OSS - 13 points

Anyone exceeding 15 points will be suspended from the team for a 1 week period / no matches or practice. After return from suspension if any points are assessed, a 2 week suspension will occur, and a parent conference must occur prior to players return to the team.

 

 

A calendar will either be posted on coaches notes, or handed out the first day.
