With a new school principle, and an aggressive achievement plan, William Penn administrators and teachers began the school year. It was apparent that after we both finished taking a course over the summer on curriculum, we would be anxious to put into practice all of the ideas we learned. One idea we tossed around was a way to combine fitness and reading. It was there that “Fit to Achieve” was born. William Penn is catching the technology fever, and after hearing that our school planned to obtain a Macromedia site license, we were eager to have a data driven site using the Macromedia products of Fireworks, Flash, Cold Fusion, and Dreamweaver. It seemed only natural that we take Dr. Fred H.'s class in Advance Web Design in order to make this project go from a dream (no pun intended) to a reality. However, the questions began mounting. We needed to learn to walk when we hardly new how to crawl. Our introduction to this process included Dr. H's suggestion that we purchase the Studio Mx2004 book. Therefore, off to Border's we went to buy the book that would make our lives easier – or so we thought… |
