*Looking for Reading help? Wilmington University is offering a literacy program aimed at helping students who are significantly below grade level. For more information, click here. If you are interested, contact the program coordinator or Mr. Rees at Wilmington Manor as soon as possible to get signed up.

*Due to Staff Inservice, there will be no school for students on Thursday, October 9th and Friday, October 10th.

*The 1st Marking Period ended Friday 10/3. Report cards will be going home in the mail on Friday, October 10th. Please contact your teacher with any questions or concerns.

*Manor Excellence Assemblies will be held for each grade level on Friday, October 17th to recognize the behavior and academic achievements of students. The assemblies will occur during the grade's Special time (4th grade is at 8:50, 1st grade is at 9:35, 5th grade is at 10:25, 2nd grade is at 12:45, Kindergarten is at 1:35, and 3rd grade is at 2:25). Families of students who will be receiving an award are invited to attend this brief ceremony. You will be notified by letter if your child is going to receive an award.

*Friday, October 17th is our PTA Fall Festival. Please join the PTA, school staff members, and Wilmington Manor families to participate in games, activities, and fun beginning at 6:30 at Wilmington Manor. Contact the PTA at wilmingtonmanorpta@gmail.com for more information.

*During the week of October 20th, 4th graders at Wilmington Manor will be taking the DSTP Science and Social Studies tests to measure what they've learned from 1st to 3rd grade. This is a critical time for our 4th grade. Please help them get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and get to school on time that week.

*Family Reading Night is Wednesday, October 29th, beginning at 6:00. This night is an opportunity for families to come to Wilmington Manor to learn more about the StoryTown Reading program, particapate in activities their child experiences daily, and discover ways parents can help out at home. We hope to see you there!
